Public Transportation Directions
By using the electronic timetables for Baden-Württemberg (EFA) you can search for the best possible way to get to the library from your place of residence (with information about necessary stops and transfers). For your "Zieladresse" or destination, you should write "Konstanz" for "Stadt/Gemeinde" (city) and then select "Haltestelle" (bus stop) and enter "Universität" (university).
Three Stadtwerke Konstanz bus lines currently serve the university community (9A/9B and 11 stop at the main entrance to the university, and Line 4 stops at Egg, just a short walk from the university).
From Stuttgart (180 km)
Take the A 81 towards Singen. After passing Hegau, you will see signs for Constance. In Constance follow the "Universität" signs to the university.
From Zürich (75 km)
Take highway (Autobahn) N 7 in the direction of Kreuzlingen/Constance. After crossing the border, you can simply follow the "Universität" signs.
From Ulm / Ravensburg (120 km / 35 km)
Take the car ferry from Meersburg to Constance and then drive towards the city center, after about 2 km follow the signs marked "Universität."
For parking you can use either the south parking garage or the north or east car park. Please note: The parking spaces are metered (Mon-Sat, 6-19 (7 p.m.) and cost 1.30 euros per day. The meters do not issue any change!). Near the main entrance to the University there are a limited number of metered short-term parking spaces.
