Subito is the document delivery service of research libraries in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You can research and order essays and books online through subito. Articles can be sent via e-mail, mail, or fax, and books are sent through the mail.
As of April 2009 even more articles can be delivered in electronic form (as pdfs per e-mail). The different costs associated with the different forms of delivery are best viewed in the subito-Database (see side bar). Because of the changes in the Copyright Act that took effect on 1.1.2008, it is not always possible to deliver some titles per e-mail and they are only available through the post or by fax. Orders are filled within 72 hours. In rush cases subito can send the document(s) within 24 hours.
